Where are Twice the Ice vending machines located?

There are over 2,500 Twice the Ice ice vending machines located throughout the US plus the Caribbean, Australia and Brazil.

How much does an Twice the Ice ice vending machine cost?

Depending on the Twice the Ice program available to you, we offer three models with variable footprints and production/storage capacities. They range from under $19,000 to $150,000. Prices may vary depending on optional equipment and installation costs.

Do Twice the Ice models have a warranty?

Every ice vending model has a one-year manufacturer warranty. Plus each component has its own warranty policy. Contact a sales consultant for more information.

What is the life expectancy of an Ice House?

Currently the oldest Ice House in use is 10 years old. We believe that our superior design/engineering and construction will make our machines last approximately 30 years with major components lasting around 15 years.

What is the maximum ice production for each of the three Twice the Ice ice vending models?

  • The Ice House can produce @ 13,000 lbs. per day (with 2 ice makers)
  • The Ice Hut can produce 4,500 lbs. per day
  • The IceBorn Express can produce up to 120-10 lb. bags per day

Should I base my purchase decision upon the size of the icemaker or the size of the ice bin?

While both are important, we recommend you consider bin size (storage capacity) first. Remember this: the larger the ice bin, the greater the storage capacity. Greater storage capacity gives you the assurance that you will not run out during peak demand. Then consider production size. A 10,000 lb. icemaker is impressive but it does not ensure ample storage capacity. Buy the big bin.

How do I keep the ice from freezing together in one clumsy, heavy block?

Our patented leveling and raking system ensures fresh, loose ice to be delivered with every purchase. Do not settle for a bagged ice block from a C-store that you have to break up.

Can I remotely manage and troubleshoot my Ice House?

Using our proprietary SmartIceTM Remote Management System, you can track system conditions of your ice vending business on your laptop or smart phone. You will also be alerted when the system detects an issue. The system provides up-to-date sales information and allows you to tell the machine to make a bag of ice and drop it for the customer remotely in case a customer is having difficulty.

Is Twice the Ice ice better than packaged ice from a grocery or C-store?

Our interior parts and components are made with food-grade stainless steel and HDPE (high density polyethylene) plastic. We use multi-level water filtration and a water softener (as necessary) to guarantee that customers’ ice and water are clean and taste great. The Ice House and Ice Hut models provide chipped ice that is as refreshing and easy to chew as the kind you would find with a snowball or snow cone. Plus, the only hands that touch the customer’s ice are the hands of the customers.

Is Twice the Ice ice fresh?

Your Ice House will produce ice consistently throughout the day, depending on how busy it is. Our “rakes” ensure the ice is always loose and malleable. This ensures the freshest ice.

How long does it take for an Ice House to dispense ice?

Ten cool seconds – faster than a NASCAR pit crew can change out four tires.

How would my Ice House stand up in hurricane?

All Ice House and Ice Hut structures are capable of withstanding 150 mph winds, and could continue producing ice and water, provided the water supply is not compromised.
